Poética <strong>de</strong> uma conversão neorromântica267The poetics of Neoromantic conversion: <strong>Murilo</strong> Men<strong>de</strong>s’s religious eroticismThe neoromantic poetics of <strong>Murilo</strong> Men<strong>de</strong>s (in O visionário, A poesia <strong>em</strong> pânico and Poesialiberda<strong>de</strong>) – also composed of a strong erotic-religious component – relies in spiritual-physicalaspects that reveal as much as hi<strong>de</strong>, as marks of a unique surrealism. In this poetics, the womanis especially <strong>de</strong>fined between images and allegories built on a th<strong>em</strong>atic basis on which thecatholic altar and its multiple meanings (printed on dogmatic faith) complete itself in thecurvilinear <strong>de</strong>sign of f<strong>em</strong>inine forms (printed on the physical <strong>de</strong>sire).
