Quais as vantagens para a sociedade com a geração
de energia eólica?
O mundo inteiro hoje discute a transição energética.
Que é passar de ser uma sociedade que se utiliza de energia
de origem fóssil e, portanto, poluente, e se tornar uma
sociedade de base de energia renovável. A energia eólica
é parte fundamental para que essa transição ocorra, pois
é, junto com a energia solar, uma das fontes mais competitivas
e com menor impacto socioambiental. Não dá para
fazer a transição energética e mitigar os efeitos do aquecimento
global sem considerar a energia eólica.
Quais fatores que levam o Brasil a ter registrado
crescimento rápido nos últimos 10 anos na geração de
energia eólica?
O grande potencial dos ventos, a criação de programas
de incentivo como o Proinfa (Programa de Incentivo às
Fontes Alternativas de Energia Elétrica), a segurança jurídica
para investimento no país, além de todo esse esforço global
para a transição energética.
Atualmente qual a capacidade instalada de geração
onshore?
Temos 30 GW de capacidade instalada em eólica onshoso

What are the factors that led Brazil to have registered
rapid growth in wind power generation over the
last ten years?
The considerable wind potential, the creation of incentive
programs such as the Incentive Program for Alternative
Sources of Electric Energy (Proinfa), legal certainty for
investment in the Country, and the global effort for the
energy transition.
Currently, what is the installed capacity of onshore
generation?
We have 30 GW of installed onshore wind capacity in
Brazil, representing 14% of the Brazilian electricity matrix.
