ENGLISH Use the assembly template, check the height of the planing bits and that they are mounted in parallel. The screws that hold the locking rail must be tightened when the correct height is set. They should be tightened to 8.4 Nm. Replacing carbon brushes Figure 12 Tilt the machine backwards (1) (fig. 13). The worktable can be removed first if it is difficult to access. Unscrew the cover over the carbon brush (3). Remove the old carbon brush (4). Fit the new carbon brush. Make sure it is fitted properly. It must be in contact with the collector. Figure 13 MAINTENANCE Turn off the plane and disconnect it from mains supply before carrying out maintenance. The plane does not require a great deal of maintenance. The ball bearings are permanently lubricated. After 10 hours of use, the following parts must be cleaned and lubricated: Bearings in the infeed and outfeed rollers. Bearings on pulleys and sprockets. The lever for the height adjustment must be treated with a dry lubricant. Clean resin etc. off the cutter head, worktable, locking rails and planing bits using a non-flammable solvent. Plastic parts must be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened with a mild soap solution. 34
ENGLISH Make sure the ventilation openings are not blocked. Make sure that all parts are correctly installed before starting the plane.
