ReverseYour <strong>snow</strong> <strong>thrower</strong> has two (2) reverse (R) speeds, with position number one (1) being the slowest speed.HeadlightThe headlight can be controlled by 0/1 switch in the left side of operation panel.Important: Always release the drive control before changing speeds.Chute Directional ControlThe chute directional control is located on the left side of the <strong>snow</strong> <strong>thrower</strong>.To change the direction in which <strong>snow</strong> is thrown, turn chute directional control as follows:- Crank clockwise to discharge to the left.- Crank counterclockwise to discharge to the right.Chute Deflector controlThe chute deflector controls the <strong>snow</strong> throwing height. Raise or lower the deflector to the desired height of<strong>snow</strong> stream by pushing chute directional control lever. See <strong>fi</strong>gure 8.Fuel RecommendationsUse automotive gasoline (unleaded or low leaded to minimize combustion chamber deposits) with aminimum of 98 octane. Gasoline with up to 10% ethanol or 15% MTBE (Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether) can beused. Never use an oil/gasoline mixture or dirty gasoline. Avoid getting dirt, dust, or water in the fuel tank.DO NOT use E85 gasoline.• Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine stopped. Do not smoke or allow flames or sparks in thearea where the engine is refueled or where gasoline is stored.• Do not over<strong>fi</strong>ll the fuel tank. After refueling, make sure the tank cap is closed properly and securely.• Be careful not to spill fuel when refueling. Spilled fuel or fuel vapor may ignite. If any fuel is spilled,make sure the area is dry before staring the engine.• Avoid repeated or prolonged contact with skin or breathing of vapor.Adding FuelWARNING! Use extreme care when handling gasoline. Gasoline is extremely flammable and thevapors are explosive. Never fuel the machine indoors or while the engine is hot or running. Extinguishcigarettes, cigars, pipes and other sources of ignition.WARNING! Always keep hands and feet clear of equipment moving parts. Do not use a pressurizedstarting fluid. Vapors are flammable.Clean around fuel <strong>fi</strong>ll before removing cap to fuel.A fuel indicator is located in the fuel tank. Fill tank until fuel reaches the red stop plate inside of the strainer,Be careful not to over<strong>fi</strong>ll.57
