Hon hoppade avgymnasiet och gick istället en tvåårig linje vid en konstskola i Nykarleby.Därefter blev det Åbo ritskola med inriktning på måleri.– Efter några mellanår flyttade jag till Stockholm och gick en fotoutbildning.Under den här tiden kunde inte Catharina försörja sig på sitt målande,men trots det fanns det alltid närvarande.
