I am back on my home ground with many wonderful memories to recollect and amazing
people to talk about. I am doing what many do not have the privilege to, working in your
own field, serving the underserved, directly through technology and innovation that
promotes inclusiveness and the growth of the nation.
Some people still judge the book by its cover, with a young team like us, they have hard
time believing the nature and future of work taken up at the Assistive Technology Lab, it
takes them a visit to accept it. I feel one must also believe in the power of inexperience,
because then one does not really set bounds for oneself and before you have the time to
comprehend you are already head on with the problem. Everyday then becomes
interesting but for experience leads to a lot of presumptions and caution. As is the law of
nature everybody becomes experienced, let it be through your own and learn from
each.
were men who took first
steps down new roads armed with nothing
but their own vision. Their goals differed, but they all had
this in common: that the step was first, the road new, the vision unborrowed,
and the response they received — hatred. The great creators — the thinkers, the artists,
the scientists, the inventors — stood alone against the men of their time. Every great new
thought was opposed. Every great new invention was denounced. The first motor was
considered foolish. The airplane was considered impossible. The power loom was
considered vicious. Anesthesia was considered sinful. But the men of unborrowed
vision went ahead. They fought, they suffered and they paid. But they won.”-Ayn Rand
hour of his life. If I asked you to keep your soul -
you understand why that's much harder?” -Ayn Rand
As time and technology evolves, sources of influence good or bad, around you and
sitting next to you manifolds, it's up to you to have your own conviction, make your own
way, have the courage and do what is right.
