to cook. 4H and Bygdekvinnene are making a great effort on cooking classes. Foodcamp is<br />

another example, run by one chef, financed by the sale of a cookery book from the camp.<br />

This is an example of creativity and eagerness.<br />

Sport is another huge arena for information and knowledge about food. On the highest<br />

level, in top-class sports a lot is done on information, and this spreads down to the “more<br />

ordinary athletes”. Proper nutrition is the focus most of the time, and focus on eating disorders<br />

has initiated projects to increase joyful eating, - based on knowledge. (”Sunn jenteidrett”).<br />

The large private or semiprivate companies also regard sports and sport events as<br />

an opportunity to reach the kids, and this is where both Tine and Bama has established<br />

their projects.<br />

We draw the conclusion that kids in Norway learn about food, taste and cooking through<br />

school, and the education is lacking, and the approach often appears random. There are<br />

few offers for those who wants to learn and are actually interested, - and food is not a part<br />

of the established cultural content. Yet.<br />
