Bilag 8 : Interviewguide
Dear XXX,
Copenhagen, December 6th 2003
This interview is designed as a part of a research project of how physical therapists, working
with classical ballet dancers, can prevent flexor hallucis longus (FHL) tendinitis.
Our working title in the project is:
According to the literature what causes professionally classical ballet dancers to develop flexor
hallucis longus tendinitis and what is being done by physical therapist to prevent this injury.
The research project is done in connection to our Bachelor of Science project at Skodsborg
School of Physiotherapy in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The information given in the interview will be treated strictly confidentially in the working
process, and in the final report you will be anonymous. The interview is recorded on tape, but
is deleted right after it has been transcribed. At any time you wish you can end this interview
and withdraw you participation.
In regard to this interview, when we refer to FHL-tendinitis we consider it to be an
„umbrella” for tendinitis, tendonitis and tenosynovitis/tenovaginitis.
The interview is divided into three subgroups:
Causes of FHL-tendinitis
Your thoughts on what causes FHL-tendinitis in the ballet dancers.
Prevention of FHL-tendinitis
Your thoughts on how FHL-tendinitis in the ballet dancers can be/is prevented.
Your personal data
Your background in relevance to this interview.
Thank you so much for your time and help in this project.
Yours sincerely
