Marine Anlæg/
Marine Installations
As the word implies marine installations are the structures placed in and in
the border areas of the sea – at the coastline - and in the water. In the last
couple of years - apart from the oil and gas platforms – another big industry
is evolving fast - explicitly the large offshore wind mill farms with their wind
turbines, substations and foundations. These marine installations, which are
often placed far out in the open sea, are very special as they have to be able
to withstand heavy wind and wave loads as well as heavy currents and in
some areas even ice. Most of these marine installations you are not able to
see because they are mostly placed far from shore and in areas where ship
traffic does not pass by closely.
