SC HAS FOR the past 5 years, more or less, been
through the whole spectrum regarding house
building assignments. A large center for dementia
in Liselund at Viborg has just been terminated and
the new TV2 headquarters at Teglholmen in Copenhagen
has been completed as well. This project also
involved a rather complex sub terrain car park in
connection to the total remake of an already existing
building.
More sub terrain car parks have followed successfully
with among others the Nimbus Park where the
main principles from the TV2 car park were used.
energy awareness is a big issue and in this context
ISC has performed a long line of energy consultancy
assignments. In Copenhagen, Glostrup and
Lyngby-Taarbaek, schools have been renovated as
well. The Kalundborg branch has built schools in
Western Zealand among others the Marbaek School
in Skibby and the Science Centre at Kalundborg
Gymnasium has been entirely updated. The Kolding
branch has been very active in the field as well and
has renovated and energy optimized several schools
in eastern Jutland.
The house building field also comprises special constructions
such as churches. ISC has performed the
rebuilding of Haslev Church and the Danish church
of the Latter Days Saints. Also secured institutions
for young criminals such as the elmehus institution
in Nykoebing Zealand, and the supply yard for the
municipality of Kalundborg has been renovated with
new staff facilities, offices etc.
The harbour administration in Odense is having a
new administration building in connection with the
erection of the Odins Bridge across the canal – with
special features linked to the design of the bridge
offering the engineers many interesting challenges.
An interesting building that lies close to our heart
is of course our own new office house in esbjerg.
The new building finally closes the gap in the block
Kirkegade, Jyllandsgade and Borgergade. The
building comprises a total of 2000 m 2 and is built
as an extension to our old office building in Borgergade
and has provided our staff with new and upto
date facilities.
The completion of the CSC building (Centralized Security
Check) in Copenhagen Airport also has taken
place during this period. The structure has brought
on a lot of challenges to both consultants and contractors
as such a construction surely affects all the
essential fragments in an institution like an airport.
ISC has achieved considerable success in entering
turn-key tender competitions for institutional buildings
and has won several of these during the past
5 years all over Denmark. ISC aims on attaining the
untraditional assignments – we like the challenges in
performing something not seen before.
