Skal vi lege?
Kolding er én stor legeplads, hvor forældrene
også kan være med. Et af Dan-
marks største historiske skolebyggerier,
Nicolai, i hjertet af Kolding er blevet
forvandlet til et moderne og spændende
kulturcenter for hele familien. Nicolai
består af fem huse med hver deres
aktiviteter: Film og café, historie, teater og
musik, kunst og design samt Nicolai for
børn med sjove legerum og kreative
værksteder.
legeparKen
Få minutter fra Nicolai ligger Legeparken
med robåde, vandcykler, minigolf og
masser af legeredskaber, mooncars og
andet sjovt. Legeparken er åben hver dag
året rundt, og der er fri entré.
sloTssØbadeT
På bredden af Slotssøen og med udsigt
til Koldinghus ligger Kolding store våde
legeplads, Slotssøbadet med varmtvandsbassin,
dampbad og babybassin.
Forkæl kroppen med infrarød dybdevarme
og romersk bad, eller gi´ den gas i
vandrutschebanen.

På Slotssøens modsatte bred ligger Koldings
nye, store bibliotek, hvor også turister
kan få et lånerkort, tjekke mails og finde
information i internet-afsnittet. Biblioteket
er fyldt med kunst. Blandt andet kan man
opleve de flotte installationer af ’lysets
nordiske mester’, Olafur Eliasson.

Kolding is one giant playground where
the parents can also join in. One of
Denmark’s largest historical school
buildings, Nicolai, in the heart of Kolding
has been transformed into a modern
and exciting cultural centre for the entire
family. Nicolai consists of five buildings
with individual activities. Cinema and
café, history, theatre and music, art and
design as well as Nicolai for children with
fun playrooms and creative workshops.

A few minutes from Nicolai you find
Legeparken with rowboats, paddleboats,
mini golf and lots of playground
equipment, mooncars and other fun
things. Legeparken is open every day of
the year and admission is free.
THe sloTssØbad
On the bank of Slotssøen and with a view
of Koldinghus you find Kolding’s big, wet
playground, the Slotssøbad, with a hotwater
pool, steam bath and baby pool.
Pamper your body with infrared deep
heat and Turkish bath, or let it rip on the
water chute.
THe librarY
On the opposite bank of Slotssøen you find
Kolding’s new, large library where tourists
can also get a library ticket, check emails
and find information on the internet. The
library is filled with art. Among other
things you can experience the beautiful
installations by ’the Scandinavian master
of light’, Olafur Eliasson.
