16. Abstract: The aim of the Project was the erection of a modular brickworks with a<br />
new drying and firing concept for the production of plane-ground bricks with the<br />
application of the latest information on through-flow drying and the firing of bricks<br />
under through-flow conditions. A modified roller kiln was used for firing. It is thus<br />
intended to reduce the production and energy costs in comparison with traditional<br />
technology.<br />
