This one-year, English-language program
is jointly offered by Bucerius Law School
and the WHU – Otto Beisheim School
of Management. It combines numerous
aspects of international business law
with issues of international business and
management. Course participants obtain
a unique ability to analyze the increasing
number of international business issues
that involve both legal and economic elements.
Applicants must have successfully
completed a first degree in law or business/economics.
Prior professional experience
is highly welcomed. The Degree
of Master of Law and Business (MLB) is

Total 60
The Studium generale consists of approxi-
mately two classroom hours per twoweek
interval in the fall, spring and summer
trimesters. An approved eight-week
internship in a law firm, corporation,
conferred upon students who are awarded
credits for the successful completion of
coursework and a Master’s Thesis and
successfully complete an internship. The
academic studies of the MLB degree are
divided into eight modules. In modules
1-4 at least four courses are offered. Each
course consists of approximately 15 hours
of classroom instruction and counts for
two ECTS credits. In order to be awarded
the MLB degree, students must successfully
complete the minimum number of
credits in each module and in the Studium
generale, as indicated in the table below.
