AUSTRIAEXPORT
The whole is more than merely the sum of its parts - especially in the automotive
industry!
association, joint presences of domestic subcontractors at
relevant trade fairs abroad can be coordinated, and study
trips or those to explore markets in interesting areas are
made available to members of the automotive industry.
A sector which can perform well internationally
The automotive-subcontractor industry working group at
Austria’s Economic Chamber is the place to go for everyone
in the trade. The working group’s members are Austria’s
Economic Chamber, represented by the federal department
of industry and Austrian Trade, and fi ve professional associations,
for machines and metal products, the chemical industry,
the electrical and electronic industry, the textiles
industry and the foundry industry.
Last but not least, the professional association of Austria’s
automotive industry (Fachverband der Fahrzeugindustrie
Österreichs, www.wko.at/fahrzeuge) concentrates on the
manufacture of cars, the production of motorcycles and
other two-wheelers, that of chassis, trailers and attachments,
automotive components (engines and transmissions), the
parts industry, automotive repair and aircraft construction.
The dynamic development of the industry’s production
programme over the past few years has made regular updates
of the product line and trade directory necessary, and
it is now available around the world in digital form. The
goal of these efforts is to facilitate contacts with the associations’
member companies and document the sector’s competitive
ability. ❚
Last but not least befasst sich der Fachverband der Fahrzeugindustrie
