The Salzburger Aluminium Group (SAG) in
Lend has developed into a global player in
the fi eld of aluminium and nowadays ranks
among the most innovative and in-demand
supplier of metal for the manufacturing industry
worldwide.
An export quota of 85%, an increase of its
turnover to around 230 million Euros in
only ten years, over 1,000 employees Europewide,
as well as a research and development
quota of 4% are key data, which speak for
themselves.
Around half of the turnover of the SAG is
generated with automobile components.
The products are exported by Lend to many
industrial regions of the world in the form of
fuel and air pressure tanks, air cells, light
constructional seat structures, energy management
systems, light constructional components
for the aerospace industry, but also
in form of alloys, materials and semi-fi nished
products for special market niches, as for
instance for the automobile industry and for
their application in the machine-building,
toolmaking and mould construction. The
large commercial vehicles manufacturers in
Germany, Scandinavia and France, and namable
automarkers rate among the circle of
customers of the SAG. ❚

Die Salzburger Aluminium Gruppe (SAG) in
Lend hat sich zum Global Player im Bereich
Aluminium entwickelt und zählt heute in
der Metall verarbeitenden Industrie zu den
innovativsten und gefragtesten Lieferanten
weltweit. Eine Exportquote von 85 %, die
Verfünffachung des Umsatzes auf rund 230
Mio. Euro in nur zehn Jahren, mehr als 1,000
Mitarbeiter europaweit sowie eine Forschungs-
& Entwicklungsquote von 4% sind
Eckdaten, die für sich sprechen.
Rund die Hälfte des Umsatzes der SAG wird
derzeit mit Automobilkompenten erwirtschaftet.
Die Produkte werden z.B. in Form
von Kraftstofftanks, Druckluftbehältern,
Luftspeichern, Leichtbausitzstrukturen, Energiemanagementsystemen,Leichtbaukomponenten
für die Luftfahrt-Industrie, aber
auch in Form von Legierungen, Werkstoffen
und Halbzeugen für spezielle Marktnischen,
z. B. in der Automobilindustrie, im Maschinen-,
Werkzeug- und Formenbau, von Lend
aus in viele Wirtschaftsregionen der Welt exportiert.
Zum Kundenkreis der SAG zählen
die großen Nutzfahrzeughersteller in
Deutschland, Skandinavien und Frankreich
sowie namhafte Automobilhersteller. ❚
