Wie waren die ersten beiden Classic festivals bad <strong>Ragaz</strong> ?<br />
Was fand beim Publikum besonderen Anklang ?<br />
D. Peter : Ohne zu übertreiben waren beide festivals sehr erfolgreich<br />
und boten hohe künstlerische qualität. Die Idee,<br />
jungen Menschen in einem so renommierten Hotel eine<br />
Plattform zu bieten, war eine Win-Win-Situation für alle<br />
gleichermaßen : für die Musiker, das Publikum und das<br />
<strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Resort</strong> selbst. Jedes Konzert hatte etwas Einzigartiges.<br />
Die Philosophie des festivals hat bei den Zuhörern<br />
besonders grossen Anklang gefunden, ebenso die sehr intime<br />
Atmosphäre und die authentische Interpretation ohne jeglichen<br />
kommerziellen Touch.<br />
Was darf man beim dritten Classic festival bad <strong>Ragaz</strong><br />
erwarten ?<br />
D. Domjanic : Wir werden insgesamt elf Konzerte veranstalten.<br />
Die Eröffnung am 8. feburar 2013 wird von einem Orchester<br />
und vier Solisten getragen. Die zehn weiteren Konzerte<br />
sind solistische Konzerte, Orchesterkonzerte und<br />
Kammermusikkonzerte. Zudem wird es ein familienkonzert<br />
geben. Insgesamt werden über 60 Künstlerinnen und<br />
Künstler aus 17 Ländern auftreten.<br />
In welchem Alter sind die Künstlerinnen und Künstler des<br />
dritten Classic festival NExT GENERATION ?<br />
D. Peter : Unsere Künstler sind zwischen 11 und 27 Jahre alt<br />
und haben eines gemeinsam : Um beim Classis festival NExT<br />
GENERATION spielen zu dürfen, müssen sie Laureat eines<br />
internationalen Musikwettbewerbs sein. Dieses Auswahlkriterium<br />
garantiert eine musikalisch sehr spannende Woche.<br />
Können Sie uns schon Namen von Künstlern verraten ? Gibt<br />
es solche, auf die man sich besonders freuen darf ?<br />
D. Domjanic : Wir freuen uns auf jeden einzelnen. Das Publikum<br />
hat schon in den beiden bisherigen festivals seine<br />
Lieblinge gefunden. Einige dieser Künstler werden wir auch<br />
2013 dabei haben. So zum beispiel die Pianistin Claire<br />
Huangci, die beim zweiten festival innerhalb von 24 Stunden<br />
für einen erkrankten Pianisten eingesprungen ist, die<br />
blutjunge, sehr erfolgreiche Geigerin Noa Wildschut, den<br />
vielversprechenden Cellisten Kian Soltani oder den Gitarristen<br />
Petrit Ceku, der inzwischen einen sehr renommierten,<br />
mit USD 30’000.– dotierten Wettbewerb in den USA<br />
gewonnen hat.<br />

How were the first two classic festivals bad ragaz ? What<br />
was most popular with the audiences ?<br />
D. Peter : It is no exaggeration to say that both events were<br />
highly successful and offered an outstanding level of quality.<br />
the idea of providing young people with a platform in<br />
such a prestigious <strong>hotel</strong> created a win-win situation for<br />
e<strong>very</strong> one : musicians, audiences and the grand resort itself.<br />
each and e<strong>very</strong> concert had something unique. the philosophy<br />
of the festival has been <strong>very</strong> well received, as has the<br />
highly intimate atmosphere and the authentic interpretation,<br />
free of any commercial touches.<br />
What do you have in store for the third classic festival<br />
bad ragaz ?<br />
D. Domjanic : We will be holding a total of eleven concerts.<br />
the overall event will be opened on 8 february 2013 by an<br />
orchestra and four soloists, with a further ten concerts<br />
showcasing soloists, orchestras and chamber ensembles.<br />
there will also be a family concert.<br />
All in all, a total of over 60 musicians from 17 different<br />
countries will perform.<br />
How old are the musicians of the third neXt gener-<br />
AtIon classic festival ?<br />
D. Peter : our musicians are aged between 11 and 27, and<br />
they have one thing in common : in order to play at the<br />
neXt generAtIon festival, they must have won an<br />
international music competition, a condition that guarantees<br />
a thrilling week of musical entertainment.<br />
can you tell us any of the names of the talented young<br />
musicians ? Are there any you are particularly looking forward<br />
to ?<br />
D. Domjanic : We are looking forward to each and e<strong>very</strong><br />
one of them. the audiences already found some of their<br />
own favourites in the first two festivals, and some of these<br />
musicians will be performing again in 2013. pianist claire<br />
Hunagci, for example, who stood in at 24-hours’ notice for<br />
another pianist who had fallen ill at the second festival, the<br />
<strong>very</strong> young and highly successful violinist noa Wildschut,<br />
the extremely promising cellist Kian soltani and the guitarist<br />
petrit ceku, who has since won a usD 30,000.– prize in<br />
a <strong>very</strong> prestigious competition in the usA.<br />
