DecockingAfter a round has been chamberedor fired, the cocking piece orhammer (V3) remains cocked.The pistol is to be decockedusing the decocking latch.For decocking- Depress decocking latch untilcocking piece /hammer is decocked(see fig.).In the process the hammer isblocked by the catch and cannotreach the firing pin.Unloading the pistol- Depress the magazine releaseand remove the magazine.- Retract slide as far as it will go,this ejects the cartridge fromthe chamber.- Press the slide release upwardsand lock slide open.- Make sure there is no cartridgeleft in the chamber.- Release the slide by depressingthe slide release or byslightly retracting the slide andletting it snap forwards.- P2000 SK and P2000 V3 SKare on principle to be decockedusing the decockinglatch.- P2000 V1 SK, V2 and V3 SKpermanently remain partiallycocked.Decock53
