Disassembly of the pistolFor cleaning the pistol is disassembledinto subassemblies.Before disassembly makesure that the magazine isempty and that the cartridgechamber is free of any ammunition.The pistol is disassembled andassembled without any tool. Theuse of force is prohibited.The pistol must not be disassembledfurther than describedbelow.- Remove the magazine- Retract the slide as far as it willgo and check that the chamberis free of any ammunition.- Then let the slide return forwardagain.- Hold the pistol so that thethumb grasps the rear side ofthe grip and the remaining fingersare on the upper side ofthe slide.- Withdraw slide until slide releaserecess (on left side of slide)coincides with the forward endof the slide release (see figure).Position of recess with respectto slide release56
