7.6 Critical Incidents<br />
Working with critical incidents is a standard part <strong>of</strong> most intercultural<br />
training concepts. Our approach is distinguished<br />
by the focus on the use <strong>of</strong> language in the critical incidents<br />
provided. It is not enough, we feel, to identify the critical incident<br />
and to suggest possible reasons for its occurrence, it is<br />
also necessary to be able to deal with it using language with<br />
the aim <strong>of</strong> (re)stabilising the relationship and furthering its<br />
success.<br />
