Sized Enterprises Prize for ODU
odu wurde der 2. preis des bayerischen Mittelstandspreises
2008 des bVMw landesverband bayern verliehen.
diese auszeichnung wird für besonders kreative
lösungen und herausragende unternehmerische
leistungen verliehen. innovation ist mittelständisch:
dies war das mehr als positive fazit des festaktes zur
Verleihung des bayerischen Mittelstandspreises 2008
durch den bVMw am 10. Juli 2008 auf schloss nymphenburg
in München.
eine Jury wählte unter den 25 kandidaten die drei preisträger
aus. bewertet wurden die nominierten vor allem
danach, wie innovativ sie neue ideen für ihre kunden,
ihre Mitarbeiter, für neue produkte, dienstleistungen
und Märkte erfolgreich einsetzen, energie einsparen
und anderen unternehmen ein Vorbild sind.
besonders hervorgehoben wurde bei der preisverleihung
die hohe innovationsbereitschaft sowie die
besonderen wege, die odu im rahmen der Mitarbeiterentwicklung
und hier vor allem im bereich der
ausbildung geht.
der preis wurde unserem kfm. geschäftsleiter Maximilian
Meyer durch Juror prof. dr. alexander J. wurzer
(steinbeis-transfer-institut) übergeben. „die hohen
investitionen und somit das festhalten am standort
Mühldorf (bayern) haben die Juroren beeindruckt,“ so
laudator prof. dr. wurzer.
während große unternehmen stellen abbauen und die
produktion ins ausland verlagern, wird die fertigung
von odu weiter ausgebaut. allein in den letzten 5 Jahren
haben wir über 30 Mio. € in neue Maschinen/anlagen
und gebäude investiert und über 100 neue arbeitsplätze
geschaffen.

ODU was awarded 2nd place in the Bavarian Small
and Medium-sized Enterprises Prize competition 2008
from the BVMW German Association for Small and
Medium-sized Companies Bavarian Land Association.
This prize is awarded for especially creative solutions
and excellent corporate services. Innovation is a critical
for small to medium-sized enterprises: this sums up
the BVMW ceremony held at Nymphenburg Castle in
Munich on 10 July 2008.
A jury chose the three prize winners from the 25 candidates.
The nominees were especially assessed on
the basis of how they innovatively implement new
ideas for their customers, their staff, for new products,
services and markets, save energy and are a
role model for other companies. At the awards ceremony,
special emphasis was placed on the high
innovative readiness and the special methods implemented
by ODU regarding staff development and
especially vocational training.
The prize was handed over to our Chief Financial Officer
Maximilian Meyer by the member of the jury Prof.
Dr. Alexander J. Wurzer (Steinbeis-Transfer-Institut).
The laudator Prof. Dr. Wurzer stated that “the high
investments and the resulting commitment to the site
in Mühldorf (Bavaria) impressed the jury."
While small companies are downsizing and transferring
their production abroad, ODU is continuing to
expand the production. We have invested more than
€ 30 million in new machines/plants and buildings in
addition to creating more than 100 new jobs alone in
the last 5 years.
