Spektakuläre Strecken, überwältigende Pässe, professionelle Eventstruktur und
Teilnehmer aus über 30 Ländern, machen die Tour Transalp bereits seit 15 Jahren zu
einem der größten Mehrtagesetappenrennen für Jedermänner. Seit dem Jahr 2017
freuen wir uns als Hauptsponsor bei dem einzigartigen Event für drei Jahre die Faszination
Transalp hautnah miterleben zu dürfen. Gemäß unserem Motto Passion of
Cycling ist die Renn-DNA fest in der Marke corratec verankert. Im ersten Jahr als
Hauptsponsor sollten spannende Herausforderungen auf uns und das Team corratec
warten. Als besonderes Bedürfniss legten wir unser Hauptaugenmerk sowohl auf
als auch Abseits der Strecke darauf, jeden Rennfahrer die Faszination „Alpenüberquerung“
jeden Tag aufs Neue, mit bestmöglichen Material in Angriff nehmen zu
können. Dafür waren wir jeden Tag sowohl auf der Strecke als auch im Start- und
Zielbereich mit Servicestationen vertreten, und arbeiteten nach Zielankunft zum Teil
bis spät in die Nacht an den Rädern der Teilnehmer um wieder einen funktionierenden
Drahtesel bereitzustellen und die Strapazen des nächsten Tages in Angriff nehmen
zu können. Die sehr schlechten Wetterbedingungen machten die Transalp zu
einer extremen Herausforderung für Mensch und Maschine. Die 4. Etappe musste
aufgrund von Regen und Ungewitter vorzeitig abgebrochen werden. Am Tag darauf
wurden die Fahrer erst gar nicht an die Startlinie gebeten sondern durften gleich mit
dem PKW zum nächsten Zielort fahren. Zusammen mit unserem Team corratec, die
mit 3 Paarungen bei den Klassen Men, Masters und Grand Masters vertreten waren,
trotzten wir den Wetterkapriolen. Bei den Grand Masters konnten Bernd Hornetz und
Erwin Hickl sogar den Gesamtsieg einfahren.

Spectacular routes, overwhelming passes, a professional event structure and participants
from more than 30 countries, have made Tour Transalp one of the largest
multi-day racetracks for ever since 15 years. Since 2017, we are looking forward to
being part of the Transalp‘s fascination with the unique event for three years. Following
our motto “passion of cycling”, the racing DNA is anchored firmly in the brand
corratec. In the first year as the main sponsor, exciting challenges should be waiting
for us and the team corratec. As a special need, we put our main attention both on
and off the track to be able to tackle the fascination of „Alpine cross-country“ every
day with the best possible material. The very bad weather conditions made the
Transalp an extreme challenge for man and machine. The 4th and 5th stage had to be
canceled prematurely due to rain and storms. Together with our team corratec, who
were represented with 3 mating classes in the classes Men, Masters and Grandmasters,
we braved the weather caprioles. In the Grand Masters, Bernd Hornetz and
Erwin Hickl were able to take the victory in their classification.

CCT TEAM: Wie schon im Jahr 2017 erstrahlt das Modell für 2018 in einem burgund
Rot und beinhaltet alle bekannten corratec Rennradfeatures. Gute Aerodynamikwerte
und ein leichter sowie steifer, aber dennoch komfortabler Carbon Renner. Eine
Allzweckwaffe für jede Ausfahrt, sei es auf welligen oder flachen Terrain.
CCT TEAM: As in the year 2017 the model for 2018 shines in a burgundy red and includes
all known corratec racing bike features. Good aerodynamics and a light , stiff
and at the same time comfortable Carbon Racer.

BEIM GERMAN CYCLING CUP
AT THE GERMAN CYCLING CUP
Die Jedermann Serie „German Cycling Cup“ umfasst neun Rennen verteilt in
ganz Deutschland. Zu den Terminen zählen Eintagesklassiker wie Rad am Ring /
Nürburgring, Skoda Velodom / Köln, neuseen classics / Leipzig und weitere. Auch
das Mehretappenrennen in Bad Dürrheim der Rothaus Riderman gehört zum
„German Cycling Cup“. Das Team Radroo startete mit dem Carbon Rennrad dem
CCT Team bei den Rennen und konnte bei starker Konkurrenz auch einige Podiumsplatzierungen
einfahren. Das CCT Team, der Allrounder, eignet sich mit seinem
leichten und steifen Rahmen, perfekt für die Rennserie.
The Granfondo Series „German Cycling Cup“ includes nine races distributed
throughout Germany. The Series include one-day classics such as Rad am Ring /
Nürburgring, Skoda Velodom / Cologne, neuseen classics / Leipzig and others. Also
the stage race in Bad Dürrheim the Rothaus Riderman belongs to the „German Cycling
Cup“. Team Radroo started with the carbon road bike, CCT team, at the races

Sardinia is famous for its beautiful beaches and unspoiled, wild landscape of overwhelming
beauty. The second largest Mediterranean island enjoys a steadily growing
popularity for cyclist. Nevertheless it is still an insider tip. Unlike other travel destinations
in the Mediterranean, the island has retained its very own character and has
largely been spared the effects of mass tourism. A particularly beautiful cycling area
is located on the central east coast of Sardinia in the Gulf of Orosei. In the shadow of
the imposing limestone mountains of Monte Albo and Supramonte, this coastal region

TRANS SIBERIAN EXTREME
Der Russe gewann auf seinem CCT Evo zweimal hintereinander, 2016 u. 2017, das
Extrem Rennen, von Moskau nach Wladiwostok. In 24 Tagen, 14 Etappen und über
9.000 km, führt das Rennen durch Russland und zeichnet sich vor allem durch kurze
Regenerationsphasen zwischen den langen Etappen aus. Daher muss sich der Körper
sehr schnell von den Strapazen der kräftezehrenden Etappen erholen. Mit seiner
Aerodynamik hilft der Carbon Renner CCT Evo dabei, lange und teilweise flache, windanfällige
Strecken möglichst schnell und mit vergleichsweise weniger Wattleistung
zu überbrücken, ähnlich einem Triathlon Bike. Das Rennen ist zudem gespickt mit
steilen und langen Anstiegen, hier spielt das CCT Evo sein geringes Gewicht und
seine ausgezeichnete Steifigkeit aus, um den Athleten schnell über die Berge zu
bringen. So konnte Alexey wertvolle Energie sparen und möglicherweise somit den
Sieg beim längsten Rennen der Welt zweimal in Folge einfahren. Ein weiteres Ultra-Rennen
in der Marathon-Szene ist das Race Across America. Ein mögliches Ziel
für den ehemaligen Profi Alexey Schebelin und seinem CCT Evo.
The Russian won on his CCT Evo twice in a row, 2016 u. 2017, the extreme race
from Moscow to Vladivostock. In 24 days, approximately 14 stages and over 9,000 km,
the race leads through Russia and is characterized by short regeneration phases
between the stages, which means the body of athletes must recover very quickly
from the strain of individual stages, and extreme weather fluctuations. With its aerodynamics,
the CCT Evo helps to bridge long and sometimes flat, wind-prone routes
as quickly as possible and with comparatively less wattage, similar to a triathlon
bike. However, the race is not only flat but also scattered with climbs, here the CCT
Evo show off its light weight and excellent stiffness to bring the athlete fast and comparatively
less effort over the mountains. Thus, Alexey was able to save valuable energy
and possibly retract the victory in the longest race in the world twice. Another
ultra race in the marathon scene is the RAAM, Race Across America, known worldwide
and a possible destination for former pro Alexey Schebelin and our CCT Evo.
