of this standoff is easily conceivable, but so far in Germany there has been no structure
for it. Until today, because goMedus has created a new model that was started in Munich
and brings together physicians from established doctor’s offices and 11 different medical
specialties in one center: the goMedus Health Center Munich.
Physicians with the medical specialties ophthalmology, dermatology, diabetology, gastroenterology,
vascular surgery, gynecology, otolaryngologist, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics,
and rheumatology are united in a prime location at the Lenbachplatz 2 a under the
roof of the Old Stock Exchange in Munich. All physicians at the center are well established
in Munich, many of them since several years, and have built up a second pillar by practicing
at the goMedus center. It is a step towards the patient to offer a coordinated, integrative,
and in some sense “better” treatment than it would be possible in the regular doctor’s
office because the offer is comprehensive.
Another special focus area of the center is the organization of care. Appointments are made
via telephone or online. Patients have their own portal, which is accessible around the clock
and leads to success in only a few seconds. Patients who want to be extensively treated
when it comes to prevention receive coordinated plans so they can visit up to 8 physicians
per day. But the goMedus offering does not only include the center itself. The network
between 28 regular doctor’s offices is of course still available to all patients. Together
with these offices goMedus’s offering includes even 13 medical specialties – practically
everything medicine has to offer. The patient can always choose freely at which place he
wants to keep an appointment. This way it is guaranteed that he receives the treatment
and care he needs in a suitable environment.
