Seit 2016 hat Dortmund ein eigenes Festival für das elektrische
Zweirad. Aber nicht irgendein Event, sondern das größte Europas.
Das DEW21 E — BIKE Festival Dortmund presented by SHIMANO
feiert vom 5. bis 7. April seine vierte Auflage und baut dabei sein
Angebot um die Themen Service und Testen noch weiter als bisher
aus. Drei Tage lang dreht sich alles um die Innovationen und
Trends rund um das Thema elektrische Mobilität. Und natürlich
treffen sich zum DEW21 Symposium wieder international anerkannte
Experten, um sich über alle Facetten der Elektromobilität
zu informieren. Von wegen einfach nur Drahtesel. Ein Fahrrad ist
heute Cityrad, Mountainbike, Rennmaschine oder Lastenrad. Das
Cargo-Bike hat sich längst zum Lifestyle-Objekt entwickelt, mit
dem Pizza und Pakete ausgefahren, aber auch die Kids von der
Kita abgeholt werden. Mehr als 150 Aussteller bilden die Basis
für Europas größtes E-Bike-Event. Festivalorte sind die Flächen
rund um die Reinoldikirche und in der Fußgängerzone Alter Markt
und Kleppingstraße mitten in der Innenstadt Dortmunds. Rund
900 Testräder sind im Angebot. Selbst in die Pedale treten, ist
ausdrücklich erwünscht. Die Ausleihe der Testräder ist an vielen
Ständen möglich – die Probefahrt findet dann entweder in der
SHIMANO Test Area (eUrban and eMTB) oder im Grünen bei einer
der DEW21 Touren in und um Dortmund statt. Ein buntes Programm
auf der DEW21-Festivalbühne rundet das Angebot an den
drei Tagen ab, ob HUSQVARNA Bicycles Nightsprint, Cargo-BikeRace
oder Dortmund Calling: Auf und neben der Bühne kommt am ersten
April-Wochenende in Dortmund keine Langeweile auf. Auch
für die Familie ist am DEW21 Familien-Sonntag bestens gesorgt
und auch die Kleinen können mit dem „Familienpass” das bunte
Festival mit ganz viel Spaß erkunden.
Since 2016 the German city of Dortmund has organised an annual
e-bike festival which has grown quickly to become the biggest
event of its kind in Europe. The DEW21 E — BIKE Festival Dortmund
presented by SHIMANO will take place for the fourth time
from 5 to 7 April 2019 and offer visitors the chance to check out
all the latest trends and developments in the world of electric
bicycles. Once again the DEW21 Symposium will bring together
international experts in electromobility to discuss the most burning
issues in this field. These days a bicycle is much more than
just a means of transport. City bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes
and cargo bikes are a lifestyle statement. Cargo bikes in particular
have grown in popularity in recent years thanks to their wide
range of uses, from delivering pizzas and packages to picking
the kids up from kindergarten. More than 150 exhibitors will be
in attendance at Europe’s biggest e-bike event, which will take
place in the area round the Reinoldikirche church and the pedestrianised
zone at the Alter Markt and Kleppingstraße in the heart
of Dortmund. There will be around 900 test bikes available to
try, so why not come along and have a go yourself? Bikes can be
borrowed from many of the stands and tested either in the SHI-
MANO Test Area (eUrban and eMTB) or during one of the DEW21
rides in and around Dortmund. Last but not least, there will be
plenty of fun and informative activities taking place on the DEW21
Festival Stage on all three days. These include HUSQVARNA
Bicycles Nightspring, CargoBikeRace or Dortmund Calling: Families
can look forward to lots of special activities for children on the
DEW21 Family Sunday.
