Research Position Available in Sydney, Australia
The Laboratory for Molecular Endocrinology at the newly
founded ANZAC Research Institute at the University
of Sydney is looking for a scientist with expertise and
skills in transgenic and knock-out models of disease
(not necessarily, but preferably, of bone disease). The
potential candidate should hold a Ph.D., an M.D. or a
comparable degree, should have a proven track record
of successful research and should be able to work independently.
Conditions for productive work are no less then ideal:
the ANZAC Research Institute, which in large parts was
designed as a transgenic unit (cap. 6-7000 mice) is a
fully equipped and well functioning laboratory complex
housing several well established and collaborating research
groups (Andrology, Neurobiology, Cell & Vascular
Biology, Endocrinology).
The successful candidate will be offered a “3+2”-year
contract with optional extension in conjunction with a
high ranking University position and a salary of approximately
60.000 - 80.000 A$ /year (depending on experience
and qualification). Relocation costs will be covered
according to standard rates.
Sydney as a city probably needs no further introduction,
but the 42 beaches within city limits and the 320 sunny
days per year should be mentioned.
