Die Key Player der Automobilindustrie
verstärken ihren Fokus auf Elektromobilität.
Schon früh haben Magna International und
Frank Stronach entschieden, die Aktivitäten
der “E-Car Systems”, der Elektrofahrzeugsparte
von Magna, zu intensivieren. Dazu
wurde im August 2010 eine Partnerschaft
zwischen Magna International (73 Prozent)
und der Stronach Gruppe (27 Prozent)
ins Leben gerufen. Magna E-Car Systems
bündelt die Aktivitäten und die weitreichenden
Kompetenzen der Konzerngruppe im
Bereich Elektromobilität.
Produktionsstandort Graz
Das Unternehmen verfügt über Einrichtungen
für Forschung & Entwicklung, für
Engineering, Fertigung und Prüfung. In der
Zentrale in Aurora in Kanada und an drei
Standorten in den USA sind jeweils Engineering,
Produktentwicklung und Vertrieb
angesiedelt. Einen besonderen Stellenwert
nimmt die Niederlassung in Graz ein: Hier
befindet sich zusätzlich noch die Produktionsstätte
des Unternehmens.
Magna E-Car Systems liefert weltweit höchst
innovative Lösungen für die Mobilität der
Zukunft: Die Produktpalette umfasst Entwicklung,
Produktion und Integration von
Komponenten, Modulen und Systemen für
Hybrid- und Elektrofahrzeuge – etwa Zellen
und Batteriesysteme, elektrische Antriebsmotoren
und Generatoren, Inverter und
Steuergeräte, Gleichstrom Konverter und
Onboard Ladegeräte. Das Leistungsportfolio
reicht bis hin zu Design, Styling, Gesamtfahrzeugentwicklung
und Produktion von
Hybrid- und Elektrofahrzeugen.
The key players in the automotive industry
are strengthening their focus on electric
vehicles. Early on Magna International
and Frank Stronach decided to step up
the activities of the “E-Car Systems”, the
electric vehicle group of Magna. This led
to the launch of a partnership in August
2010 between Magna International (73
percent) and the Stronach group (27
percent). Magna E-Car Systems combines
the activities and wide-ranging skills of the
consolidated group in the area of electric
mobility.
Manufacturing location in Graz
The company has full facilities for research
& development, engineering, manufacturing
and testing at its disposal. Engineering,
product development and sales are
established at the headquarters in Aurora,
Canada, and at each of the three locations
in the U.S. The office in Graz occupies a
special place, with the additional facility of
the company being based here.
Magna E-Car Systems delivers some of
the most innovative solutions for future
mobility around the world: The product
range includes development, production
and integration of components, modules
and systems for hybrid and electric vehicles
- such as cells and battery systems,
electric motors and generators, inverters
and control equipment, DC converter and
onboard chargers. The service portfolio
extends to design, styling, overall vehicle
development and production of hybrid
and electric vehicles.
