present a first seismic horizon-stratigraphic model for the Amundsen Sea Embayment, which will serve as a base for understanding processes of glacial advance and retreat. Fig. 1: Models of ice sheet extent and retreat paths in the Amundsen Sea Embayment at the last glacial maximum at about 20 k.y. and at 12 k.y., partly following with tectonic lineaments (Gohl, 2011). Retreat ages are from cosmogenic exposure dates by Johnson et al. (2008) and microfossil analyses by Lowe and Anderson (2002) and Hillenbrand et al. (2009). Arrows indicate major ice stream flow directions and are colored according to drainage basin groups. The bathymetric/topographic compilation is from Nitsche et al. (2007). References: Gohl, K. Fluviatile Architektur & Provenienzanalyse der Takrouna Formation in Nord- Viktoria-Land Nadine John 1 , Robert Schöner 2 & Reinhard Gaupp 1 1 Institut für Geowissenschaften, Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, Burgweg 11, D-07749 Jena; Nadine.
