A short summary of the contents of this issue in english<br />

Forword by our president Manne Bosse<br />

The president sums up the Central European Conference in Pilsen. The past 3 years<br />

have brought success <strong>and</strong> problems. High age average in many member countries is<br />

a problem, so is the request of WOSM over more control over the adult movement.<br />

He thanks all who have contributated in the past to the work of our movement.<br />

Fellowship Day message of the president of ISGF<br />

Mida Rodrigues the chairperson of the World Committee of the ISGF sent a message<br />

to all member countries. She looked back to many successful events in the member<br />

countries <strong>and</strong> asked all to send documentations of their actions <strong>and</strong> events to show<br />

who we are <strong>and</strong> what we do.<br />

A report of the 7th Central Europe Conference<br />

A new Subregion Committee was elected. Manfred Bosse <strong>and</strong> Teresa Tarkowska-<br />

Dudek carry on as president <strong>and</strong> vice-president. Christa Schmeisser is secretary,<br />

Gabi Reitberger treasurer <strong>and</strong> Hans Slanec delegate toto the European Committee.<br />

The next Conference in 2015 will be in Austria. A guild meeting will be arranged<br />

2014 by Germany. The conference expresses concern regarding an agreement by the<br />

ISGF World Committee <strong>and</strong> WOSM which contains little rights for ISGF <strong>and</strong> the<br />

possibility for WOSM to interfer into the ISGF organisation.<br />

Reports of Central Europa member countries to the conference<br />

Delegates of the member countries report of their development, actions <strong>and</strong> events<br />

<strong>and</strong> problems with aging members <strong>and</strong> sometimes difficult relations with the <strong>Scout</strong><br />

organisations.<br />

<strong>International</strong> news<br />

Germany has passed St.Georges emblems to Horst Köhler, former German federal<br />

president <strong>and</strong> Norbert Blüm, former German minister for their support to <strong>Scout</strong>ing.<br />

Both are former <strong>Scout</strong>s. A book presenting all German <strong>Scout</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> organisations<br />

was presented. The German national committee will organize a journey to the Baltic<br />

countries, which comprises tourism but also meeting with local guilds.<br />

Hungary celebrateds 100 years of <strong>Scout</strong>ing in Hungary. Money was dedicated for<br />

a new church bell.<br />

Lithuania: The <strong>International</strong> Secretary Dalia Taralaini received an award by the<br />

President of LIthuania for her cultural work.<br />

Austria: A weekend training seminar for 60 guildmasters was held. In the Vienna<br />

concert hall a Glenn Miller memorial b<strong>and</strong> was attended by more than 100 guild<br />

membes, as part of the profit went to the social fund of the guilds. Advent is celebrated<br />

by the guilds with many cultural events <strong>and</strong> sales st<strong>and</strong>s in Christmas markets,<br />

especially in Salzburg.<br />
