Analog MICRF 505 – MICRELs neue Generation „RadioWire ® “ RF Transceiver Der neue MICR F 505 Transceiver arbeitet im Frequenzband von 850 MHz bis 950 MHz und ermöglicht Datenraten bis zu 200 kbps in FSK (Frequency Shift- Keyed) Modulation. Zum Betrieb des Transceivers werden nur wenige externe Bauteile (ein paar Kondensatoren, eine Induktivität) benötigt. Per Design kommt der MICR F 505 mit relativ ungenauen Low- Cost Quarzen aus. So wurden auf dem Bauteil Schaltungen integriert, die Frequenzabweichungen zwischen kommunizierenden Chips feststellen und automatisch beheben. Eine interne „Clock Recovery“- Schaltung wurde ebenfalls implementiert, was das Zusammenspiel mit Low-Cost Microcontrollern erleichtert. Weitere Funktionen (z.B. der Frequenzsynthesizer) sind programmierbar gestaltet. Kostenlos aus dem Internet erhältlich ist die „MICR F 505 RF Test Bench“ Software, die die nötigen Werte der externen Komponenten, sowie die Konfiguration der internen Register berechnet. Der MICRF505 ist im 5 mm x 5 mm MLF - Gehäuse erhältlich und kostet ca. US$ 4,50 bei einer Abnahme von 1.000 Stück. MICRF 505 – MICREL’s new generation of “RadioWire ® “ RF transceivers The MICR F 505 transceiver operates from 850 MHz to 950 MHz and supports frequency shift-keyed (FSK) modulation at data-rates up to 200 kbps. The transceiver can operate with only a few external components (just a few capacitors, one inductor). The MICR F 505 is designed to accommodate low-cost, low-accuracy crystals. To address this, Micrel has added a frequency error estimator to determine frequency mismatch between communicating transceivers and an internal crystal tuning mechanism to enable automated crystal tuning on-the-fly. The MICR F 505 also incorporates an internal clock recovery circuit to reduce the burden on its companion baseband device enabling the use of a lower cost microcontroller. Many functions, including the frequency synthesizer are user programmable. The “MICR F 505 RF Test Bench” software which calculates required values of the external components and configurations of internal registers, can be downloaded for free from the Web.
