Common-Flash Interface
und ein SYSTEM-ID
Modul erweitert. Memory-
Management-Unit (MMU)
und Floating Point Unit
(FPU) stehen ebenfalls auf
der Roadmap von ALTERA.
Bis Jahresende soll die
Liste der Nios-kompatiblen
Peripherie mehr als 100 IP-
Cores von ALTERA und
Partnerfirmen beinhalten.
An oberster Stelle der
Wunschliste aller Nios-
User stand eine grafische
Entwicklungsumgebung
zur Software-Entwicklung.
Mit Nios II erfüllt sich
dieser Wunsch der Nios-
Gemeinde. Die neue
Entwicklungsumgebung
NIOS TM II Integrated
Development Environment
(IDE) basiert auf ECLIPSE,
einer frei verfügbaren,
robusten Entwicklungsumgebung,
die sich
allgemeiner Beliebtheit
erfreut.
The list of available
standard peripherals
delivered with Nios now
includes a JTAG UART, an
enhanced Common Flash
Interface and a SYSTEM-
ID module. Memory-

Highest priority on the
wants list of nearly all Nios
users was a graphical
design environment to
improve the software
development flow. With
Nios II this wish of the Nios
community will become
true. The new Nios II IDE
(Integrated Development
Environment) is based on
ECLIPSE, a free, robust
and widely accepted
integrated design
environment.
