Weltmarktführer auf dem Gebiet Verpackungstechnik wie SIG Holding,<br />
Amcor oder die Alpla Werke sind hier angesiedelt, hinzu kommen<br />
bedeutende abpackende unternehmen wie maggi oder unilever. In<br />
Neuhausen hat das europaweit einzige Internationale Verpackungsinstitut<br />
(IPI) auf Hochschulniveau seinen Sitz.<br />

unilever. The International Packaging Institute (IPI) with its universitylevel<br />
courses based in Neuhausen is the only one of its kind in Europe.<br />
Envirotech<br />
In der Bodenseeregion gibt es eine Vielzahl an produzierenden<br />
Betrieben, Handwerksbetrieben und Dienstleistern im umweltsektor.<br />
Insgesamt sind rund 280 unternehmen und Institutionen aus dem<br />
Bodenseeland dem Bereich umwelttechnologie zuzuordnen.<br />

Life sciences<br />
Die Bodenseeregion bietet ein vielschichtiges lebenswissenschaftliches<br />
umfeld mit Global Playern wie Nycomed / Takeda, Vetter,<br />
VIVIT-Institut oder GATC, Europas führendem DNA-Sequenzierdienstleister<br />
(Erbgutent schlüsselung). Das Netzwerk BioLAGO e. V. fördert<br />
die Entwicklung dieses Clusters.<br />

Der Bodenseeraum verfügt über eine hervorragende Infrastruktur und<br />
bedeutende Kompetenzen im Bereich mikro- und Nanotechnologie. Zur<br />
Förderung der Nanotechnologie tragen die Initiativen Nano-Cluster<br />
Bodensee, Nano-Zentrum Euregio Bodensee e. V. und Swiss Nano-<br />
Cube bei.<br />
