18. Dünya ‹fl Sa¤l›¤› ve Güvenli¤i Kongresi<br />

‹fl Sa¤l›¤› ve Güvenli¤i konusundaki en büyük etkinlik olan 18.<br />

Dünya ‹fl Sa¤l›¤› ve Güvenli¤i Kongresi, 29.06.2008-02.07.2008<br />

tarihleri aras›nda Seul’de yap›ld›. ‹lk gününde “‹fl Sa¤l›¤› ve<br />

Güvenli¤i Seul Beyannamesi”"nin<br />

imzaland›¤› kongreye, 100 ülkeden 2.500<br />

kifli kat›ld›. Kongre örgütünün amac›; ifl<br />

sa¤l›¤› ve güvenli¤i ile ilgili olarak, mesleki<br />

hastal›klar› önleme çal›flmalar›, sa¤l›k ve<br />

güvenlik konulu ortak projeler yolu ile<br />

gelifltirilen yeni teknolojilerden elde edilen<br />

bilgi, bulgu ve tecrübelerin paylafl›m› ile<br />

ifl kazalar›n›n önlenmesine ve çal›flanlar›n<br />

sa¤l›¤›n›n korunmas›na katk› yapmakt›r.<br />

Her üç senede bir seri olarak düzenlen<br />

bu kongrenin güncel ç›kt›lar›n›n,<br />

araflt›rmac›lar›m›z, uzmanlar›m›z ve tüm sektör taraf›ndan<br />

yak›ndan incelenmesi yararl› olacakt›r. Bir sonraki etkinlik olan<br />

tan›t›m› hakk›nda bir<br />

de makale yay›mlanm›flt›. Tersanelerimizde ihtiyaç duyulan<br />

kalifiye ara eleman s›k›nt›s›na çözüm olacak 8.5 ay süreli<br />

kursta, çeflitli testlerle yüzlerce müracaatç› aras›ndan seçilen<br />

30’ar kiflilik kursiyer gruplar›na, uzman e¤itmenler taraf›ndan<br />

Bilgi ve ‹letiflim Teknolojileri, Mesleki Geliflim, ‹flçi Sa¤l›¤› ve<br />

‹fl Güvenli¤i derslerinden mesleki uygulamal› derslere kadar<br />

yedi ay nazari ve 1.5 ay tatbiki staj e¤itimi verildi. Kursiyerlere<br />

Milli E¤itim Bakanl›¤› ve Avrupa Birli¤i taraf›ndan sertifika<br />

veriliyor. Bu proje ile ilkokul mezunundan, yüksekokul mezununa<br />

kadar çok say›da gencimize meslek ve ifl imkan› sa¤lanm›fl<br />

oldu. ‹MEAK GESAD, “Devlet-Sektör-E¤itim” birlikteli¤inin<br />

ürünlerini almaya bafllam›flt›r. Sektörümüze, ülkemize hay›rl›<br />

olmas›n› diliyoruz.<br />

18th World Congress on Safety and Health at Work<br />

Biggest event on Occupational Health and Safety, 18th World<br />

Congress on Safety and Health at Work, was held between<br />

29.06.2008 and 02.07.2008 in Seoul. 2.500 persons from 100<br />

countries participated in the Congress where<br />

“Seoul Declaration on Safety and Health at<br />

Work” was signed in its first day. Purpose<br />

of congress organization is to contribute in<br />

prevention of occupational accidents and<br />

protection of workers’ health by sharing the<br />

works carried out on prevention of<br />

occupational diseases, knowledge, findings<br />

and experience obtained from new<br />

technologies developed by way of common<br />

projects on health and safety. Close<br />

examination of actual outputs of this congress,<br />

which is held once in every three years as series, by our<br />

researchers, experts and entire sector will be beneficial. Next<br />

activity 19th World Congress on Health and Safety at Work<br />

will be held in Turkey in 2011.<br />

The first graduates are getting placed in their positions<br />

The graduates that complete the Professional Course for Vessel<br />

Construction Technologies organized by Of Hac› Mehmet Bahattin<br />

Ulusoy Anatolian Technical High School and ‹MEAK Association<br />

of the Ship Industrialists with the support of Turkey and the<br />

EU are being employed. The first-term graduates of the school<br />

and the interns of the second term<br />

visited Istanbul as a group led by<br />

Kemal Aslan, Vice Manager of the<br />

School. In order to gain general<br />

information, the interns were<br />

invited to visit some shipyards in<br />

Tuzla. With regards to this matter,<br />

another article by Prof. Dr. Ahmet<br />

Dursun Alkan was published in<br />

our magazine, pointing out to the<br />

importance of the course and<br />

introducing it. The 8 and a half<br />

months course will be a solution<br />

to the problem of qualified staff<br />

needed at our shipyards. The<br />

trainee groups of 30 people picked among the hundreds of<br />

applicants using various tests have been provided with seven<br />

months of theoretical training and one month and a half of<br />

professional applied courses from subjects such as Information<br />

and Communication Technologies, Professional Development,<br />

Workers' Health and Work Safety. The trainees are issued<br />

certificates by the Ministry of National Education and European<br />

Union. With this project, many young people from elementary<br />

school graduates to academy graduates have been given the<br />

opportunity for a profession and job. ‹MEAK GESAD has started<br />

to enjoy the benefits of the cooperation between "State-Sector<br />

and Education". We hope it will be beneficial for our sector and<br />

for our country.
