Changes at Cafe @ The J Note: The Cafe will be closed from December 25-January 5 Page 6 • JCC Center View • January November 2010 2009 A poem from Gwen and Asher Amar For the last 10 years the Cafe @ The J has been a kosher kitchen that has only served “meat”. We have had many requests to change to a kosher dairy kitchen and we now feel these requests we should meet. It is time for a change, so the Cafe @ The J, a makeover will soon get, With a great new menu that we think you will love so please do not fret, We are bringing over our menu from our very successful Hillel Oy Vey Cafe, Our dairy restaurant on campus where we serve 150 lunches each day, The new menu will include quiches, paninis, Mexican cuisine, Greek salads and our famous Moroccan Spinach Pie, However tuna, egg salad, falafels, Israeli cuisine, french fries and kid’s fare you can still buy. Please have no fear, many of your favorite foods will still be here. There will be new faces to meet and new people to greet. With great specials each day, and menu items for home to take away. The cafe now has Wi-Fi , so you can relax on the couches or sit and stay. We now accept credit cards and will be emailing coupons for many great buys. We look forward to seeing you, so please drop by Grand Re-Opening: Wednesday January 6, 2010! Meet at the JCC! 2010-2011 School Year Registration Registration for the 2010-2011 school year will begin in early February for children that are currently enrolled in the program. A registration schedule and packet will be sent home in late January. Open registration for the public begins mid February. For details or a tour please call the ECE offi ce at 615-5437. Rock Shabbat with Shabbat Scott Join us each Friday as ECE kids celebrate Shabbat and the holidays in a festive, energetic and spiritual way. Each performance is 20 minutes and begins at 10 a.m. in the Art Gallery. Enrichment Classes Classes run Jan. 11-Feb. 15. Mondays Teena’s Lunch Bunch 12:15-1:15 p.m. • Ages-3-5 Instructor-Teena Sterlachini Children will prepare their lunches from scratch and have the pleasure of eating with Teena. A side dish and dessert will also be prepared. Bagel pizzas, Mexican pizzas and more. $72M/$88NM Computers 1:15-4 p.m. (30-minute classes) Ages 3-6 Instructor-Todd Detry Children will learn to be comfortable with the computer, including using the mouse and keyboard.
