Daryll Collins felt lucky to have parents and teachers who supported his goal of becoming a cartoonist.<br />

Graduating from Youngstown State University, he also attended Columbus College of Art and Design.<br />

Starting out doing TV news graphics, Collins eventually cartooned for Gibson Greeting Cards (now defunct).<br />

Clients include Hallmark, Sports Illustrated for Kids, Disney Adventures, McDonald’s, and Time<br />

John Coulter is a Los Angeles-based illustrator. His clients include UTNE Reader, Wall Street Journal,<br />

Christian Science Monitor, Entertainment Weekly, The Boston Globe, Great Arrow Cards, Rodale Books,<br />

and OUT magazine. John grew up on a hog farm in Joy, Illinois. After receiving his B.F.A in Visual Communications<br />

from Truman State University, he spent two and a half years in the Dominican Republic as a<br />

Peace Corps volunteer. John now lives in Monrovia, California, with his wife Anne and daughter Ava. He<br />

Linda Crockett has been doing illustration for many years and has been published thousands of times. Her<br />

work has received two Gold Medals from the Society of Illustrators and has been shown in the Cleveland<br />

Museum of Art and many other galleries and museums. Several pieces are in the permanent collection of<br />

the Society of Illustrators in New York City. She creates children’s books, greeting cards, and magazine illustrations<br />

Margaret Cusack creates artwork using fabric as her medium. Born in Chicago, she has lived in New<br />

York since 1959. She studied at Pratt Institute, has worked as a graphic designer, art director, and set designer<br />

(earning an Emmy award for set design along the way). Her samplers, fabric collage, soft sculpture,<br />

and large architectural-scale hangings are commissioned by many clients, from Time magazine to<br />
