IN J & K On 28th June, 2012 a free medical camp under Core Psychological War Group (CPG) was organised by 116 Bn, CRPF at village- Frislan, Pahalgam. The Medical Camp was formally inaugurated by the Comdt-116 Bn, CRPF. Dr. Manoj Kumar, Medical Officer 96 Bn, Dr. S. Rshidal, Medical Officer 164 BN and Dr Akhtar Hussain, Medical Officer of civil hospital, Pahalgam including Medical Officers of civil hospitals of various disciplines like Gynaecology, Medicine Orthopaedic, ENT Eye, Dentistry were also present at the said camp to provide their services. All the patients were distributed medicines free of cost. This free medical camp earned huge response from the local village/people. Approximate 366 villagers from Frislan village attended the camp. On the next day another free Medical Camp was organised at Village-Mamal, Pahalgam, Anantnag (J&K). The Medical Camp was formally inaugurated by the Comdt-116 Bn, CRPF. All Officers and men of the unit also witnessed the function.Free medicines were distributed in both the above camps. Approximate 519 people of Mamal village (male/Female/ Children) were benefited by the programme. During Shri Amarnath jee Yatra 2012, the unit did exemplary work by assisting the needy yatris. Free Medical Camps were also organised at Pahalgam and Chandanwari to extend treatment to the ill personnel (Including Yatries/Pony wala/ Taxi wala/ Pithu wala and free medicines were provided to them.
