These courses are particularly suited for Critical Thinking and Problem
Solving , Professional Competence , Communication and Self-Reflection.
In these courses, design in various areas of the theatre is introduced.
Scripts from plays are analyzed (Critical Thinking), design issues and
challenges are undertaken (Problem Solving), collaboration is both
discussed and practiced (Communication/Self-Reflection) and numerous
skills are developed (Professional Competence) to meet the unique
needs of the designs, which would, of course, change from production to
production.
Our performance oriented courses (TA 141 Fundamentals of Acting, TA
142 Fundamentals of Acting, TA 143 Fundamentals of Acting, TA144
Improvisational Theatre, TA 145 Acting for the Camera, TA 180 Rehearsal
and Performance and TA 244 Advanced Improvisation) all favor Critical
Thinking and Problem Solving , Cultural Awareness Communication and
Self-Reflection.
