1. No Permisson; Limited Transfer Allowed<br />

a. Transfer only allowed from Events 1111, 1121, 1211, or 1221.<br />

b. Music transferred to this event from the current WSMA Music <strong>List</strong> does not need to be sent to WSMA for permission but must<br />

remain in the same class as the original list. To transfer, enter EventClassT, i.e. 1231CT. Next screen, enter selection you<br />

are transferring, i.e., 1121C10.<br />

- Event 1030 selections are all Class M, therefore, Event 1030 may not be transferred to any vocal ensemble event.<br />

2. Students may enter up to three vocal solos: one from Event 1111, 1121, 1211, 1221, or 1231; one from Event 1311 or 1321; <strong>and</strong><br />

one from Event 6211.<br />

3. Event 1231 has no restrictions on transposition in any class.<br />

4. When English <strong>and</strong> another language are printed in the vocal solo, the student may select either language.<br />

5. An accompanist must not exceed 15 accompaniments for any WSMA festival. Use synthesized, prerecorded, <strong>and</strong>/or computer<br />

s<strong>of</strong>tware programs when accompanists are difficult to find.<br />

6. Student soloists are expected to introduce their performance at WSMA <strong>District</strong> <strong>and</strong> State Festivals, including performer <strong>and</strong><br />

accompanist names, name <strong>of</strong> school, title <strong>and</strong> composer <strong>of</strong> piece (<strong>and</strong> if appropriate, movements being performed), <strong>and</strong> briefly<br />

describe a significant aspect <strong>of</strong> style, form, technique, harmony, rhythm, or melody in the piece.<br />
