BOARD GAME It is a game that never ends. No one returns to the place where he started. All the players are mad — and terrified. They never cease to throw the dice. They close their eyes and go through the motions, yet no one has ever taken the prize. One plays with the cool eye of a tactician; another believes in magic; a third insists the gods ordained everything The madness is when you fall in love. The terror is when another player loves you. The deck is loaded, the laws of probability lockset against the overlap of lusts. The pile of gold has never been seized.
