Objects and Reasons.<br />

The object of this Bill is to amend the Dentists Registration Laws,<br />

1926 and 1936, in the following respects :—<br />

(o) By amending the definition of " Medical Council" in order to<br />

ensure that the Council as constituted for the purposes of the<br />

Dentists Registration Laws shall include one dental practitioner<br />

in private practice.<br />

(6) By repealing section 4, which prescribes the qualifications and<br />

requisites for registration, and by replacing it by a new section in<br />

order to assimilate these provisions to the corresponding provisions<br />

of the Medical Registration Laws.<br />

(c) By repealing and replacing section 13 of the Principal Law by a<br />

new section and by introducing a new section numbered 12A<br />

in order to assimilate the provisions of the Dentists Registration<br />

Laws to the provisions of the Medical Registration Laws.<br />

A BILL<br />

ENTITLED<br />

A LAW TO AMEND THE MEDICAL REGISTRATION LAW, 1936.<br />

BE it enacted by His Excellency the Officer Administering<br />

the Government and Commander-in-Chief of the<br />

Colony of Cyprus as follows :—<br />

1. This Law may be cited as the Medical Registration short title.<br />

(Amendment) Law, 1939, and shall be.read as one with the<br />

Medical Registration Law, 1936, (hereinafter caUed " the 22 of i936.<br />

Pruicipal Law"), and the Principal Law and this Law<br />

may together be cited as the Medical Registration Laws,<br />

1936 and 1939.<br />

2. The following section shaU be inserted in the Principal insertion of<br />

Law immediately after section 16 thereof :— 'leAi^iJ^<br />

^'Power to i(^A,—(1) Where any medical practitioner<br />

name of VII or VIII of the Cyprus Criminal Code, 1928 The Cyprus<br />

(3) Every order and every revocation of an ^9 of 1937<br />

order made under this section shaU be notified<br />

to the Registrar.<br />

(4) Wrhere an order has been revoked under<br />

sub-section (2), the Registrar shaU, on the<br />

payment of such fee, not exceeding the registration<br />

fee, as the Medical CouncU may from<br />

time to time fix, restore to the Register the<br />

name of the medical practitioner to whom<br />

such revocation relates."<br />

3. Section 17 of the Principal Law is hereby repealed Repeal of<br />
