Glenn Coburn<br />

A successful personal trainer and group<br />

fitness instructor for over 5 years, Glenn<br />

embraces tough training sessions with a<br />

determination and work ethic which is tough<br />

to match. Be it sprint intervals at the track, a<br />

weights workout in the gym or a mixed martial<br />

arts conditioning session, Glenn’s passion for<br />

training shines through. Glenn’s session is<br />

guaranteed to be fun, creative, varied and<br />

challenging. If you come along to his class,<br />

be prepared to sweat!<br />

Mark Mullineaux<br />

Mark has over 20 years of experience<br />

in health, fitness and education including<br />

work within the RAF and University lecturing<br />

and currently works as a tutor for YMCAfit.<br />

In addition, Mark provides strength and<br />

conditioning expertise for the English Institute<br />

of Sport working in liaison with the leading<br />

strength and conditioning specialists in the<br />

UK to develop and enhance performance of<br />

elite athletes. With a considered and thorough<br />

approach to fitness, Mark provides clear,<br />

professionally sound and unambiguous advice at all times. His session will<br />

be thought provoking and will enhance your own professional practice.<br />

Christine North<br />

Christine has been actively involved in<br />

the health and fitness industry for a number<br />

of years. She has been associated with the<br />

YMCA for over 20 years and recently Christine<br />

was appointed YMCAfit’s Regional Manager<br />

for the north of England. Her main interests<br />

are in teaching special populations and pilates<br />

personal training. Christine was the proud<br />

recipient of the Exceptional Achievement<br />

Award, awarded by Skills Active and REPs,<br />

for her outstanding contribution to the fitness<br />

industry. She is down to earth, has an approachable personality and a<br />

wicked sense of humour and continues to be a very popular presenter.<br />

A talented dance and fitness presenter<br />

who has worked in the industry for 10 years,<br />

Kt has an in depth knowledge of training and<br />

qualifications. She specialises in teaching<br />

specialist groups and apprenticeship learners,<br />

providing support and guidance for different<br />

communities and age groups. Kt adopts<br />

a unique approach which embraces her<br />

motivational and eclectic style. This is most<br />

apparent in her work as a presenter where<br />

she has an abundance of experience both at<br />

many major fitness conventions and on DVDs and TV. Her highlight of 2012<br />

was performing in the Olympic opening ceremony.<br />

Denise Page<br />

Denise Page is the Head of YMCAfit,<br />

leading the UK’s most experienced training<br />

provider, and is a well respected member of<br />

the industry for her technical expertise and<br />

passion for learning. Denise’s enthusiasm for<br />

fitness shines through both in her leadership<br />

and her presenting where she continues to<br />

be extremely active, regularly presenting both<br />

in the UK and abroad. Understanding that<br />

the fitness industry is constantly evolving,<br />

Denise maintains a desire for finding new and<br />

different forms of fitness which are accessible for all.<br />

Roy Scott<br />

An extremely competent runner, Roy<br />

has competed in several big city marathons<br />

including London and Berlin, often finding<br />

himself finishing within the top 100. Having<br />

worked within the fitness industry for a<br />

number of years both as a personal trainer<br />

and now as YMCAfit’s Guidance Assessor<br />

Manager and Course Director, Roy utilises his<br />

wealth of teaching experience and running<br />

knowledge to deliver an innovative and varied<br />

approaches to training.<br />

Brigitte Wrenn<br />

A pilates specialist, Brigitte began<br />

her career in the fitness industry 20 years<br />

ago working as a freelance personal trainer<br />

and aerobics instructor. Understanding the<br />

importance of a holistic approach to exercise<br />

and with a passion for pilates, Brigitte trained<br />

with STOTT PILATES ® and was soon selected<br />

to be an instructor trainer. Brigitte now heads<br />

the team at the UK’s only Licensed Training<br />

Centre in London which won the prestigious<br />

‘LTC Rookie of the Year’ award at the 2012<br />

Community of Excellence conference.<br />

will broadly cover the nature of strength and conditioning for athletes and<br />

highlight the practices that can be implemented into your own PT sessions.<br />

running drills to minimise injury and maximise performance. If you are a PT,<br />

To truly call yourself a hardcore exerciser, you have to push yourself to<br />

your limits, when you feel that you can’t go on, muscles throbbing, heart<br />

pumping, wanting to quit but remaining stubbornly resistant. Find your limits<br />

in this tough Tabata circuit. This is not for the faint hearted!<br />
