If you missed the Legion’s 58th Annual
Easter Egg Hunt you really missed a good time. I
would like to say thank you to all the volunteers
who gave of their time to help hide over 2000 eggs
and then stay and help us exchange eggs for
candy to over 200 children who participated in the
egg hunt. It took over an hour to hide the eggs and 7
minutes to find them. What a great community
event and thank all of you who participated.
We will have a steak dinner on Mother’s
Day from 12-2:30. The price is $14.00 and includes
baked potato, salad, roll, tea and a 12-14 ounce
ribeye cooked to order. Make your reservations
early because we will only have 200 available.
Auxiliary Unit
Well, hello again ladies! Well as
I write this article we are now
halfway through April and the
weather is still very cool, but I
am sure the hot weather will soon
follow (and then we will pray for cool). I would like to
thank all of our members for coming to our
auxiiliary meetings. We have around 40-45 at every
meeting and it certainly is nice to see all the smiling
faces. For those of you who do not know, our group
takes fruit to the nursing home on a monthly basis
and we are a contributor of The Fresh Air Home.
Line dance classes are every Wednesday at 7 p.m.
If any of our readers knows of a worthwhile project
that would be community oriented for our auxiliary
to help with please let us know.
Our next meeting will be held on May 14th.
Social hour starts at 6 p.m. and the meeting starts
promptly at 7 p.m. Please come if you can.
God Bless You,
