It is unfortunate that we could not complete our talk because you had to place the phone down so urgently before I finished talking, but I am writing to you so that you may read this email and think more about these issues at your leisure. It is very kind of you to talk to my husband but please understand that he is a very busy man. Being so busy, he, of course, only concerns himself with issues such as how well Anya draws and that she should learn to draw better so that both of her eyes are looking at the same thing and her chin is rounded not crooked and her eyelashes do not look like sticks. I am also distressed to learn that you believe that Anya is satisfied with her Self-Portrait. If she thinks she is satisfied, it is only because there is no way for her to correctly represent herself at the present time. I, Anya’s mother, am the only one who can understand the gravity of the matter and I will contact you again as soon as I hear from Crayona, with whom my communication has taken place as scheduled.
