To STIRLING— Conveyance by the Coaches to Perth—Mail<br />

arrives and departs with Perth Mail.<br />

To STPx-ATHAVEN-A Coach from Whitelaw's, 381, Gallowgate,<br />

on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, at 5 afternoon—and from<br />

Erskine's, St. Andrew's Lane, at half-past 4 afternoon.<br />

POST OFFICE.<br />

N. E. <strong>The</strong> Post OfEce Bar is open from 8 morning to 8 evening, on<br />

week days, and from 8 to 1 1 forenoon, from 1 to 2, and from 7<br />

to S evening, on Sunday.<br />

Mailsare made up at the General Post Office, London, as follows;<br />

For France, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday<br />

Spain, every second Tuesday—Holland, Netherlands, Germany,<br />

and North <strong>of</strong> Europe, every Tuesdayand Friday— Sweden, every<br />

Friday—Jamaica and America, first Wednesday monthly—Leeward<br />

Islands and Demerara, first and third Wednesday, monthly<br />

— Bladeira and Brazils, first Tuesday monthly—Buenos Ayres,<br />

third Tuesday monthly Lisbon, every Tuesday Gibraltar,<br />

Malta, Corfu and Mediterranisan, first Tuesday montlily.<br />

To his Majesty's Colonies or other Foreign Parts, where rates <strong>of</strong><br />

postage have not hitherto been authorised, a rate <strong>of</strong> postage shall<br />

he charged in equal proportions to the rates <strong>of</strong> packet postage, or<br />

the conveyance <strong>of</strong> letters and packets to or from Buenos Ayres,<br />

or any port on the Continent <strong>of</strong> South America.<br />

N. B. <strong>The</strong> return <strong>of</strong> the Packets are calculated thus;—To Jamaica<br />

and back, 16 weeks,—America, 13;— Leeward Islands, IS;—<br />

Malta, 14; Lisbon, 4;— and the Brazils 20 weeks.-—<strong>The</strong><br />

American Packets sail for Nev/ York direct, in November, December,<br />

January and February; the other eight months they go<br />

and return by the way <strong>of</strong> Halifax.—From July to December, inclusive,<br />

the Packet to Rio Janeiro touches at Pernambucco and<br />

Eahia on her outward passage, and the other six months on her<br />

homeward.—<strong>The</strong> Packet stations are Dover, Harwich, Weymouth,<br />

and Falmouth.<br />
