REGULATIONS.<br />

A Constable with six Officers attend in rotation at the Police<br />

Office, Albion-street, to call the roll <strong>of</strong> the Watchmen, half an hour<br />

before they take their stations, and mark such as are absent. <strong>The</strong><br />

Officers and twenty Patrolemen, thereafter patrole the streets<br />

until between two and three in the morning, or longer if ne-<br />

cessary, to observe if the Watchmen are doing their duty; to<br />

apprehend vagrants and disorderly persons; and to give, in writ-<br />

ing, a report <strong>of</strong> the whole transactions, in the morning, to the<br />

Master <strong>of</strong> Police.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Watchmen are to be on their respective Stations, in the<br />

months <strong>of</strong> April to September inclusive, at 10 o'clock at night, and<br />

continue till 5 in the morning; and in the months <strong>of</strong> October to<br />

March inclusive, at 9 o'clock at night, and continue until 6 in<br />

iV. B.— <strong>The</strong> Fire Engines are under the management <strong>of</strong> the Commissroners<br />

<strong>of</strong> Police. Keys for them to be found in Police Office.<br />

In cases <strong>of</strong> fire, it may be <strong>of</strong> use for the Public to know where<br />

the Engines are stationed, also the name and residence <strong>of</strong> the Master<br />

Firemen, which are as under.<br />
