orgasm are connected to the brain’s release of endogenous opiates. As well, these opiates <strong>and</strong><br />

dopamine shut off the portions of the brain responsible for anxiety, adding to the euphoria<br />

the removal of fear. <strong>The</strong>n the brain receives serotonin, adding feelings of wellbeing <strong>and</strong><br />

satisfaction. 6<br />

Of course, your skull is more than a chemical bathtub. All of those hormones <strong>and</strong><br />

neurotransmitters are actually interacting with the physical brain <strong>and</strong> its neural connections.<br />
