Whither his helmelefle courfe he fleerd <strong>and</strong> mov'd,<br />

Whilft he made hafte to fee his welbelov'd,<br />

Which when fierce Boreas <strong>with</strong> his bluftring blaft<br />

Put out, he in the floods away was caft :<br />

So that his wedding light became a torch,<br />

To convoy him to Pr<strong>of</strong>erpines blacke porch.<br />

Almighty God who made <strong>all</strong> by his power,<br />

Holds forth his Light from the Celefti<strong>all</strong> Tower :<br />

That when the ftormes our to fled foules annoy,<br />

It may direct us to our heav'nly joy.<br />

No ftorme againft this Light can fo prevaile<br />

But Saints unto their wifht-for Haven may faile.<br />

Where for their Wedding torch this Light they have,<br />

Which never fh<strong>all</strong> convoy them to their grave.<br />
