Sounds produced by aircraft cannot be considered periodical nor stationary. Moreover,<br />

the knowledge of the frequency distribution of a sound produced by an aircraft operation<br />

is necessary <strong>to</strong> evaluate the sensation perceived, thus <strong>to</strong> quantify the “disturbance”<br />

caused (see section 9.3.5).<br />
