night stay at a Walla Walla casita for up
to 6 people. Nestled on 40 scenic acres,
it is the ideal spot to enjoy the best of

Mountains and surrounding countryside
from the 3 bedroom accommodations.

Shulman, the property features a private
pond, swimming pool and hot tub.
The casita, with its lovely furnishings,
contains a large bedroom with queen
bed and attached bath and 2 smaller
bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed and 1 with
two twins, that share a bath. Each has
an entrance to the outside, but they can
also connect for a family. Discover why
DaMa wines are receiving accolades in
a private wine tasting at DaMa wines
on Main Street. DaMa has been in Walla
Walla for more than 5 years and is 100%
woman owned and managed. Although
they are best known for their Cowgirl
Cab, the Syrah recently scored 90 in Wine
and Spirits (blind tasting). Four releases
from DaMa Wines took top honors in the
annual Seattle Wine Awards in 2011. The
tasting will be led by at least one of the
winemakers and have light fare for up to
6 people.

liTrE (magnum)
The 2005 Les Pavots (3,600 cases of
63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet
Franc, 12% Merlot, and the rest Petit
Verdot) is a sensational wine, with a style
that suggests a hypothetical blend of a
great St.-Emilion and Pomerol. Chocolaty
cassis notes intermixed with incense,
licorice, and a hint of black olive are
present in this wine. When it hits the
palate, it comes across as very Pomerollike,
with lushness, full body, and
opulence. The tannins are sweet, the pH
high, and the wine gorgeously full, pure,
dense, and long. It’s a terrific example
of non-interventionalist winemaking that
has turned out a beautiful, silky-textured
wine that should age effortlessly for
15+ years.
