For the first time in the history of<br />
the Show, ribbons went east of the<br />
Ohio River. We are glad to further<br />
Teport that they came to Virginia. Mr.<br />
E. B. White, Froprietor of the Selma<br />
Stock Farm, Leesburg, Va., exhibited<br />
;at the recent International at Chicago,<br />
nine head of Percheron horses and<br />
"won ten ribbons, including three first,<br />
two second, three third, two fifth, and<br />
;a gold medal, the latter on stallion<br />
.•and mares owned by the exhibitor. We<br />
"had reserved space for a more extend-<br />
>ed notice of the International, but, owing<br />
to the illness of our correspondent,<br />
the manuscript did not reach us In<br />
time for this issue. However, we take<br />
pleasure in mentioning Mr. White's<br />
•winning, which emphasizes the fact<br />
