<strong>Pennsauken</strong> Business Owners<br />

Outstanding Philanthropists of the Year<br />

The Association of Fundraising Professionals<br />

(AFP) New Jersey, Southern<br />

Chapter celebrated National Philanthropy<br />

Day by honoring several local<br />

fundraising executives and volunteers, including<br />

two <strong>Pennsauken</strong> business owners.<br />

The award for Outstanding Philanthropists<br />

of the Year was given to Dan<br />

and Jake Garrison of Garrison Printing<br />

Company in <strong>Pennsauken</strong>. The brothers<br />

were nominated by the Juvenile Diabetes<br />

Research Foundation of South Jersey<br />

and Temple University. A family-run<br />

business for over 50 years, Garrison<br />

Printing Company has consistently provided<br />

in-kind and discounted printing<br />

and design services to numerous health<br />

agencies, hospitals and other non-profit<br />

organizations.<br />

AFP NJ, Southern Chapter serves Atlantic,<br />

Burlington, Camden, Cape May,<br />

Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and<br />

Salem Counties. Chartered in August<br />

2008, the NJ, Southern Chapter membership<br />

includes nearly 60 fundraising professionals<br />

in healthcare, social services,<br />

education, religion, non-profit arts and<br />

culture, professional consultants and<br />

member associations. The Chapter offers<br />

monthly networking and professional<br />

development workshops that give development<br />

professionals and other top executives<br />

the tools to better serve their<br />

organization and advance their career.<br />

Reorganization<br />

Public Meeting<br />

The <strong>Pennsauken</strong> Township Committee<br />

will hold its annual reorganization<br />

meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3 at<br />

the <strong>Pennsauken</strong> Country Club on Haddonfield<br />

Road.<br />

The agenda includes the swearing in<br />

of a new Mayor, Deputy Mayor and<br />

new Committee members and township<br />

appointments to various positions.<br />

The new committee will then set<br />

meeting dates for 2013 for the Township<br />

Committee.<br />

All future public meetings, excluding<br />

the Reorganization Meeting, are held at<br />

the <strong>Pennsauken</strong> Municipal Building,<br />

5605 N. Crescent Blvd., at the corner of<br />

Route 130 and Merchantville Avenue at<br />

the times specified.<br />

All Around <strong>Pennsauken</strong> posts these<br />

public meetings in each issue. Changes to<br />

the meeting schedule will be advertised<br />

in the Courier-Post and Retrospect<br />

newspapers.<br />

Merchantville Class of 47 Donates Memorial Stone<br />

After its 65th Reunion, the Merchantville High School Class of 1947 Reunion<br />

Committee purchased a memorial stone for placement in front of the<br />

Merchantville Elementary School, which was the former location of the high<br />

school. The reunion committee, pictured here, attended the Nov. 5 installation.<br />
