COUNCIL OF PENNSAUKEN
increased eco nomic
growth, and individual
business success.
Community
involvement is vital
to sustaining local commerce and small
businesses in today’s economic climate
and helps to generate more active support
from local consumers.”
Ellis also explained that growing
B.I.G. Council membership increases the
opportunity to network with a wide variety
of different business types.
“We’ve always been a diverse organization.
Our members come from so
many industries: from real estate to
banking and health care to auto repair.
It really creates an environment conducive
to business partnerships. We’ve
always said, if you need to find something
for your business, you can find it
right here in our community.”
While the membership drive lasts all
year, businesses are encouraged to join
now in order to truly benefit from their
investment. Paying members receive
special benefits, including reduced costs
for monthly meetings, discounted ad
Launches 2013 Membership Drive
“It’s all about creating value,” adds
Ellis. “The reason why the B.I.G. Council
remains strong year after year is that company
owners and business professionals
take away something from each B.I.G.
Council meeting and truly benefit from
our initiatives.”
Building On Past Successes
In the past three years, the B.I.G.
Council has made significant strides, investing
over $200,000 back into the
Pennsauken community. From saving
the annual holiday parade and bringing
back the Pennsauken Car and Bike
Show, to hosting the first-ever business
summit and helping launch Camden
County’s “Shop Local” initiative, the organization
has a substantial body of
work to build from.
“Every success our organization has allows
us to do even more in our community,”
says Ellis. “With everything that
we’ve accomplished so far, 2013 is going to
be an exciting year for the B.I.G. Council.”
